Three Kings

I hope that you enjoyed your holidays.  We had a wonderful Christmas with our friends and family. It seems that so much time is spent on getting ready for Christmas and then it's over in a flash.  Our family leaves up our Christmas decor until after Jan 6th so we can celebrate Epiphany.

This is my DT project for the Merry Christmas Challenge blog.  The theme is always Anything Christmas but we do have an optional theme of The Nativity for this challenge.  I chose to use this stamp from Magnolia to make another ornament for my Christmas tree that features the Nativity.

Mickey and Minnie Gift Tags

I made a super simple set of gift tags for the gifts for my daycare kids.  I found Mickey and Minnie Mouse wrapping paper so made the tags to match.  I kept it simple because I know the kids are really more interested in the gift and not the wrapping.
The tags were made using the Mickey Font Cricut cartridge.

I've been busy baking cookies, attending parties, wrapping and making all the gift tags.
This is a pocket tag that is sized perfectly for a gift card.  Seems like we give more and more gift cards each year.
My husband and I are both crafters. I made all of the Christmas cards, tags, and baked goodies and he is busy making a stained glass project for each member of our family.

Dreaming Of A White Christmas

This is my last DT card for Crafty Hazel Nut's Christmas Challenge Extra for 2017. You still have time to join in our last challenge of the year. I kept this card flat and free of bulky embellishments so that I could mail it more easily.
The image is from Conie Fong and I had fun coloring her in winter colors. I don't know about you but I like snow but not for Christmas. I think the snow can wait until after all of the holiday traveling.

Christmas Tag

My Christmas cards are done so it's time to get the tags finished. I had fun creating this tag with one of the stamps from the winter kit from Magnolia Stamps.
This is my DT project for The Merry Christmas Challenge.  The theme is always anything goes but there is an optional challenge to make it sparkle.  I am not sure it shows in the picture but the pattern paper I used is sparkly and I added extreme glitter paint to the star and used my red spica pen for the garland on  Tilda's dress.  I also used shabby chic embossing enamel for some extra sparkle.
I hope you join us in the challenge.  Can't wait to see what you make.

I wanted to make a Christmas card with a non Christmas image.  I saw this Unicorn from Bugaboo Stamps and decided it could make a great Christmas card.  What do you think?
After coloring with copics, I painted the unicorn with extreme glitter paint and added stickles to the mane and tail.  The sentiment I created in Microsoft word.

I just love this sweet digi stamp from Bugaboo Stamps.  The challenge at Aud sentiments is to create a project using a Christmas Sentiment.  I haven't decided yet if I will mail this as a Christmas card or use as a thank you card after the holidays.  I kept the card design simple so it can be mailed easily and a little cheaper.  I hope you join  us at Aud Sentiments in our last challenge of 2017. Christmas Ornament

I don't know about you, but I love to decorate for the holidays.  I usually put up 4-5 large trees. Last year I shocked everyone and didn't put up any of my Christmas trees. It was a very busy time of year with our Oldest son graduating from college two weeks before Christmas and our youngest son turned 21 the day before Christmas.  Needless to say I was focused on other parties and events.  I did decorate the house, just not the trees.
Each of my trees is decorated with a different theme.  This year I have decided to put up only one tree and make new ornaments for the tree.  I am hoping I get them done in time.  The theme for this tree will be The Nativity.  Each ornament I make will have some element from the nativity story.  This is the first ornament I have made so far.  I decided my color scheme would be white, tan, gold, blue and rose.  I found some Christmas balls at Hobby Lobby in those colors to add to my tree.
This is also my DT project for Simply Magnolia.  Our theme for this month is CAS or FULLY LOADED.  Somehow I think my card has a CAS look even though I intended it to be Fully loaded. I can't wait to see what you make for this challenge.

I created this card for Addicted to Stamps. Our theme for this challenge is to use two different stamps.  I used two stamps from Magnolia stamps to create this card.  I wanted it to look like Edwin was out cutting down his own tree so I added an additional tree in background and snow with white embossing enamel and also some snow tex to the trees.
I can't wait to see what you create for the challenge.

Christmas Card

The deadline to mail Christmas cards is fast approaching.  Are you ready?  I am just about finished with my cards.  Of course, there are always a few people I decide to add to my list each year so I may not be as close to done as I hope.
This is November 1st so that means a new challenge at Crafty Hazel Nut's Christmas Extra challenge. The theme is always anything goes and we are sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps.

Christmas card

One more Christmas card to add to my stash.  I have just a handful of cards left to make for this year.  Of course it's never too early to start cards for 2018!
I kept this card free of bulky embellishments so that it will be easy to mail.  I love the soft colors of this pattern paper so I colored the digi in soft colors too.  After coloring with copics I used extreme glitter paint to add a little sparkle to the angel wings, stars, ornaments and package ribbon. I used diamond dust stickles on the snowflake and flower.

Floral Birthday Card

This is my DT card for Addicted To Stamps. The challenge theme is Anything With Flowers. I couldn't resist using one of the Magnolia Stamps I recently purchased. I went on a little spending spree and bought several that I have had my eye on.
This color combo is new to me also.  Yellow is my favorite color and I rarely use it in my crafting. I paired it up with purple since they are complementary colors.

Christmas Card

I'm getting closer to having all of my Christmas cards done. My plan is to have them ready to be mailed by the beginning of December.
I created this card using Winnie and Penguin from the big Winnie White Christmas bundle.  The pattern paper is even from the bundle.
After coloring the image with copics, I painted the wings with extreme glitter paint and then used tinsel glitter on her hat trim. The glitter was a gift I received several years ago.  I love using it for hat trims and this purple worked perfectly with the paper and copics I used.

Oops! I Shot a Bunny!

When I saw this image from The Stamping Chef, I knew just how I was going to use it.  My grandmother used to put her hand over her mouth and  say "Oops, I shot a bunny!" whenever she passed gas!  It always made us kids giggle.
This card will be for my brother's birthday.  I am sure he will get a chuckle with this funny memory of our grandmother.

Football Jersey Card

My nephew just celebrated his 12th birthday.  He is a Kansas City Chiefs fan so I made him this card for him.
I used a template to create the jersey. I used my cricut to cut the number 12 and the football for the front of the card.

For the inside of the card I made the chiefs arrowhead using my cricut.  The player who wears the number 12 jersey for the Chiefs is the wide receiver, Albert Wilson.  I incorporated the position he plays into the sentiment of the card.

Back of the card:

I hope he likes the card. I think it turned out great.
