Mother's Day Card

Today starts a new challenge at Scrapbooker PhD.  The theme is to create a card for Mother's Day or to use flowers.  I decided to do both.  I made a criss cross card.  The sentiment is on the inside card which you can see below.  The lace is some extra bits that I had in my stash.

More Pixies

It's new release day at Scrapper's Delights.  Janice has been busy drawing some gorgeous Pixies.
My card features Pixie Fawn.  Her face is simple beautiful.  I colored her outfit in a light purple so that sweet face would be the focal point. I did paint her outfit with a light layer of extreme glitter paint after coloring with copics for a little shine.  I added stickles to her antennae.

My card is a twisted easel card.  It is super simple to make.  Simply score your card as usual and then score the left side (front) of the card at a diagonal.  The card lays flat for mailing.

In addition to the image, you get this set of circle sentiments.

Scroll down to my previous post to see my project made with another of the new releases.

Pixies

It's New Release day at Scrapper's Delights.  Janice has been working hard and there are lots of new images in the store.  My card features Pixie Corner 2.  There are two other pixies in this release which is exciting, but there is more..
You can get these as digi images at Scrapper's Delights or as rubber stamps at Sweet Pea Stamps

When I looked at the image I used for my card, I instantly thought of monarch butterflies and summer.  I had fun coloring her as a monarch and using bright yellows and orange for my card.

I also used one of the new sentiments that comes with the other new Pixie release

Triple Time Stamping

Here is my project for 52 Christmas Card Throwdown this week.  The challenge is Triple Time Stamping. If you aren't familiar with this technique, you can watch this video for help.  I had never tried this technique before so this is my first try.  I pulled out various snowflake stamps to use.  I didn't want to do the usual blues for my card so I dug through my stamp pads and came up with this color combo.  Hope you like it.  The snowman is a stamp from Peachy Keen Stamps. I added some diamond dust and a snowflake die cut as well.

If I Had A Flower

I tried a different fold for this card.  I love how simple, yet fun it is.  It also gives me lots of space inside if I want to either write my own  message on the middle part are decorate it with further embellishments.  As you can see, I left the middle fairly free of embellishments so I can decide later what I want to do.  I may even just attach a gift card to the middle section.
This card is for the challenge at Aud Sentiments.  The theme is "Things with Wings"  You can create any type of project you want as long as you include something with wings...will it be birds and butterflies like me or a fairy, airplane or bugs.  Can't wait to see what you create.  You can enter here. Peace On Earth

This weeks challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throw Down is a color challenge.
Simply use the colors coffee and cream for your cards.  I think I am one of the few people who doesn't like coffee or tea.  However, I do like hot chocolate on cold winter mornings, and evenings and well just all day long when it's cold.
I have to admit that this challenge was a little hard for me.  I really struggled with using these colors because I kept wanting to add green or red.  After I found just the papers I wanted to use though, the card turned out good.

Can't wait to see what you create with these colors

Happy 5th Birthday Aud Sentiments

Happy 5th Birthday Aud Sentiments!!

5 years ago I was picked to be on the DT for a brand new challenge blog where the challenges were centered around the sentiments.  Now five years later, Aud Sentiments is still going strong, thanks to all of our fabulous sponsors through the years, the creative DT members who have shared their talents and thanks to all of our participants in the challenges.  Who knows if we will see another 5 years of challenges but, I know that I am still having fun crafting and creating with all of you.

Here is a picture of my projects for our very first challenge at Aud Sentiments.  The theme was to use the phrase "Happy Mother's Day"  I was so excited to be a part of this challenge blog that I created two projects.  At the time I was new to using copics but not new to card making.  I started making cards while in college as a way to save money.  Who would have known that my money saving ways would lead to a hobby that has become a passion for almost 30 years.
