Digi Doodle Shop's Best Challenge #31 Anything Goes!

This week at Digi Doodle Shop's Best the challenge is ANYTHING GOES! I just adore this little soccer player and have always wanted to use him for a scrapbook layout. Both my boys played soccer for years and I coached their teams for many of those seasons. I really miss those days of running up and down the field with them and practicing drills.

We would love it if you joined us for this challenge. Just link up your creation to the Digi Doodle Shop's Best challenge blog for your chance to win some amazing digi images. Judy and her mom have added lots of really great images recently that would make great Holiday cards or thank you notes for after the holidays. If you want to see some of these new images check out the store HERE.

I am so excited because it is time for another fabulous challenge at Aud Sentiments! Our theme for this challenge is THANKS! You can create a card, scrapbook layout, altered item, etc for the challenge but you must use the word THANKS somewhere on your project.
For this challenge we are being sponsored by Meljen's Designs! They have some of the most adorable digi images around. I used one of their images called Little Girl Bear for my card. It's a super cute image that can be used for lots of different occasions. Meljen's also has a blog with lots of great samples of projects using their images.

Headless Horseman Bottle Wrap

Yesterday I showed you the 2 liter bottle I decorated and entered into the Boo Challenge on the Cricut Circle blog. This is the other bottle I decorated. This one actually uses more transparent items but I could only enter one into the challenge. I had saved this bottle for this project but I neglected to mention to my husband that I had plans for it. When I went to decorate the bottle, I found that my husband had thrown it in the recycle bin. That isn't too bad except that he crumpled the bottle and I had a horrible time trying to get it back into a decent shape. So that is why this one didn't get entered into the Cricut Circle Blog challenge. The face in the jack-o-lantern and the tree are transparency sheets. I colored them with a yellow copic marker to make it look like they are glowing. I also added three vellum ghosts. I didn't have a good adhesive for the vellum so you can see the adhesive I used showing through the vellum. I am sure my 14 year old son won't even care how the bottle is decorated. He will just be interested in all his favorite snacks I put inside.
Project Details:

Graveyard: Happy Hauntings Cricut cartridge cut at 5 inches
Tree: Happ Hauntings Cricut cartridge cut at 5.5 inches
Ghosts: Happy hauntings Cricut cartridge cut at 2 inches

Halloween Treats

This week the challenge on the Cricut Circle blog is to create something for halloween using some kind of transparent element. The transparent element could be vellum, plastic packaging, transperencies, etc. I decided to recycle a 2 liter Pepsi bottle as my transparent element. I plan to give this to my son for halloween so I have it filled with some of his favorite snacks. I used the shredded paper packing that came with my Cricut Circle Welcome kit so that is two recycled items. I knew I saved that for a good reason! On the spider web I used some of the Martha Stewart glow in the dark glitter. I can't wait to see how much it glows. Maybe I will get a picture later tonight.
Project Details:
Spider Web: Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut cartridge cut at 5.5 inches
Spider: October 31st Cricut cartridge cut at 2 inches
Frankenstein: Happy Hauntings Cricut cartridge cut at 4.5 inches

Digi Doodle Shop's Best Challenge #30

The challenge this week at Digi Doodle Shop's Best is Keep It Simple. This means no designer paper and only 1 embellishment can be used. I usually prefer clean and simple cards so I thought this challenge would be a breeze for me...it wasn't! I just love using pattern paper. I decided I could fudge a little and give my plain white cardstock some texture using my cuttlebug. The image I chose for this card is Mouse in Teacup. You can purchase this stamp HERE. Isn't he just adorable? I collect tea cups but I think if I actually found a mouse it one, I wouldn't be too happy. We would love to have you join us in the challenge. Make a simple card and link it up at Digi Doodle Shop's Best challenge blog for your chance to win a gift certificate at the Digi Doodle Shop.

Create Memories Sign

I made this sign to hang in my craft room. The sign is metal and I found it at Hobby Lobby in the Christmas craft aisle. They only had two so of course I bought them both. I am going to use the other one for a Christmas project. This sign will be perfect to hand in my craft room. Since my craft space is in our basement and I don't have windows in that area, I put up wall paper that reminded me of the kids playing outside. The paper has little radio flyer wagons and tricycles as well as a white picket fence. Not sure it shows up in the picture but I used a red Spica pen on the feathers and wing of the bird. The flower between the R and E is just cut from some of the pattern paper. All pattern papers are from My Mind's Eye.

Bird: Home Decor Cricut cart cut at 4 inches
Flower: Home Decor Cricut cart cut at 1, 1.25 and 1.5 inches

Daycare Magnet Wall

This is what I made for my magnet wall in my daycare for this month. Last year I had the kids all dressed in Halloween costumes so I decided this year they should go on a hayride to the pumpkin patch. I couldn't resist dressing the baby up in a pumpkin suit though. Everything is laminated so the kids can move them around if they want.

Cricut Circle Blog Challenge

To be honest, I probably wouldn’t have created this layout all about me if it wasn’t for the current challenge on the Cricut Circle Blog. The challenge is to Celebrate the Strength of Girls. We were to use Pink, Ruffles, Scallops, Flourishes, Glitter and Jewels. This layout is all about how I like to spend my “Girl Time” in a household full of men.
I enjoy creating cards, scrapbook layouts, cross-stitch and some home décor items in my small craft room in the basement. I also am an avid reader and enjoy a variety of books from the basic whodunit to romance. I especially love it when the heroine in the book is a quirky woman who solves the crime. I love to share my creative projects on my blog as well as read other crafting blogs. The picture of me on this layout is the one I use for my crafting blog. I also included the Cricut Circle logo with the black bow since that is the avatar I use on the Cricut message boards. I have my journaling for this layout hidden behind the top pictures. It slides out by pulling on the scallop cut with the Martha Stewart border punch along the right side of the page.
Layout Details:

Girl: Gypsy Wanderings cut at 2 inches

He is just too adorable. All the papers are from a Christmas stack by The Paper Studio
